Education Coordinator
Work Schedule / Availability:
Standard duty hours: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday
Additional hours: evenings and weekends as required to support scheduled programs, tours, and special events.
Role Description:
Provides end-to-end coordination and delivery of public education programming and interpretive experiences.Responsible for planning and executing virtual and in-person programs, managing docent operations and tours, developing and maintaining program content and scripts, training volunteers, and evaluating program outcomes to improve learning and visitor engagement.

Education / Experience / Certifications:
Experience: 8+ years supporting public programs and tour delivery; 5+ years managing docents/volunteers.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, History, Museum Studies, Education, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences.
Strong writing/editing capability for interpretive scripting and educational content.
Experience with evaluation tools/surveys and using results to improve programs.
Technical Skills:
Scheduling and operational coordination; facilitation/public speaking.
Data tracking and reporting using spreadsheets and basic databases.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and common virtual program platforms (e.g., Teams/Zoom).
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work at computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on computer and/or related office equipment. May be required to stand/walk, grasp, reach, stoop/kneel/crouch, or climb/balance. Occasionally required to drive to other locations. Must have clarity of vision, three-dimensional vision, precise hand-eye coordination, and ability to identify and distinguish colors in order to observe and inspect construction sites.
