Introduction:
Mano Lani is seeking a Senior Military Operations Analyst L4– Doctrine to support the development, review, and integration of doctrinal materials for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Joint military operations.

Duties:
The candidate will serve as a senior advisor on doctrine, contributing to the development of joint and service-level publications, ensuring alignment with emerging warfighting concepts, operational needs, and joint all-domain command and control (JADC2). This role is critical in shaping future capabilities across space, missile defense, and multi-domain operations.

• Active TS/SCI
• 14+ years of experience in military operations, including doctrine development, operational planning, or capability integration.
• Lead the development, revision, and integration of military doctrine across multiple domains (space, missile defense, cyber, and joint operations)
• Analyze current doctrine, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and Concept of Operations (CONOPS) to identify gaps and recommend updates aligned with future force requirements
• Coordinate with Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Army/Joint doctrine agencies, and service components to ensure consistency and operational relevance
• Participate in working groups, operational forums, and doctrine reviews to provide authoritative insight into doctrinal alignment and development
• Translate strategic guidance (e.g., NDS, NSS, Joint Warfighting Concept) into applicable doctrinal frameworks
• Support the integration of space and missile defense capabilities into joint operational plans and doctrine
• Assist in the development and validation of new TTPs based on lessons learned, operational assessments, and threat evolution
• Provide briefings and written reports to senior leaders on doctrinal impacts, recommended changes, and implementation strategies
• Extensive experience with U.S. Army and Joint doctrine processes, including Joint Doctrine Development System (JDDS) and Army Doctrine Publication (ADP) structures
• Strong background in operational-level command structures such as USSPACECOM, STRATCOM, JFCC IMD, or similar organizations
• Proven experience drafting or revising doctrinal publications (e.g., ATPs, FMs, JPs) and coordinating stakeholder input
• Expertise in multi-domain operations, including integration of space, cyber, missile defense, and kinetic/non-kinetic effects
• Familiarity with strategic documents such as the National Defense Strategy (NDS), Joint Warfighting Concept (JWC), and JADC2 architecture
• Experience collaborating with warfighters, analysts, intelligence professionals, and program offices to align doctrine with current and emerging threats
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills for doctrinal production and high-level briefings
• Strong understanding of operational assessments, wargaming, or training environments that inform doctrinal evolution

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Military Science, National Security Studies, Strategic Studies, or a related field is required
• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Strategic Studies, Defense Analysis, Joint Operations) is preferred
• Completion of Intermediate or Senior Service College (e.g., CGSC, SAMS, JPME II) is highly preferred
• Joint Professional Military Education (JPME I or II)
• DoD or Joint Doctrine Development Course certification (if applicable)
